PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a difference of attitude in a mover generated when its moving direction is reversed in a machine tool, and implement suppressing at a low cost. SOLUTION: In a mover driving gear of a machine tool, with a position of the center of gravity of a mover 101 serving as the center, in a position almost symmetrical to a drive part 105 of the mover 101, a cylinder 111 making pressing force or attracting force act on the mover 101 is arranged, when a moving direction of the mover 101 is reversed to a predetermined direction by a command of a control device 10, simultaneously with supplying compressed air of preset pressure to the cylinder 111 from a compressed air supplier 15 by a command of the control device 10, an attitude of the mover 101 is returned to a condition before it is reversed. Next, when the moving direction is reversed from the predetermined direction by a command of the control device 10, simultaneously with stopping supply of compressed air to the cylinder 111 by a command of the control device 10, the mover 101 is made so as to move in an attitude with a drive part side leading. Thus by maintaining the mover 101 always in the same attitude, a difference of the attitude is suppressed.
