POINTER DISPLAYING METHOD, POINTING DEVICE THEREOF, AND HOST DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A pointer displaying method, a pointing device thereof, and a host device thereof are provided to reduce a power consumption and to reflect an absolute position of a pointing device. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic wave receiving unit(10) receives the ultrasonic wave from a pointing device and outputs a corresponding electronic signal. A control unit(20) calculates a corresponding position of a display screen of a display unit(30) with respect to a position of the pointing device(2) based on the electronic signal from the ultrasonic wave receiving unit(10) and outputs a control signal for displaying a pointer to the calculated position. The pointing device(2) controls the host device(1) such as a remote controller, a mouse, etc. A user input unit(50) receives an inputted user command. If an ultrasonic wave originating command is inputted through the user input unit(50), an ultrasonic wave originating unit(40) generates an ultrasonic wave and originates the ultrasonic wave to the host device(1).
