DEVICE FOR MEASURING TORQUE OF STIRRERS FOR MODEL TEST

PURPOSE: A device for measuring torque of stirrers for a model test is provided to accurately measure the torque on shafts of stirrer models and process the torque in real time, thereby improving the reliability of model test data for stirring capacity and life span of the stirrers. CONSTITUTION: A glass melting furnace model is formed of a refiner model, a forehearth model, and a feeder model. A torque meter(30) is mounted at a shaft(20b,22b,24b) of each stirrer model(20,22,24) installed at upper and lower streams of the forehearth model for measuring torque. An indicator(40) displays torque values from the torque meter. An analog-to-digital converter(50) converts an analog signal from the display element into a digital signal. A computer(60) processes the digital signal from the analog-to-digital converter as data as to the torque acting on the shaft of the stirrer model.
