PURPOSE: An automatic floodgate with a double opening system and a construction method thereof are provided to form the fish ladder by doubly discharging water from the upper stream through the lower part with automatically lifting or inverting the gate, and to improve the quality of water by naturally purifying water. CONSTITUTION: A double opening system of a floodgate(1) is composed of a moving shaft(23) fixed in a wall or a support(100); a floodgate shaft(22) hinge-connected to the moving shaft; a guide bar combined with the floodgate shaft; cylinder systems combined with the floodgate by hinges; the rectangular floodgate fixed to the floodgate shaft; and oval moving grooves(24) formed at sides of the floodgate. The fish ladder is naturally formed with doubly draining water from the upper stream through the lower part, and water quality is improved with opening and closing the floodgate by lifting or inverting. The flood is prevented by inverting the floodgate completely with the double opening system.
