PURPOSE: A variable displacement swash plate compressor is provided to easily assemble the swash plate to a hub. CONSTITUTION: A swash plate(50) comprises a first swash plate member(51) and a second swash plate member(52) joined to each other by friction welding or electron beam welding and having joining plains formed on central parts thereof and a plurality of peripheral grooves(58) formed on peripheries thereof to insert tools for coupling the swash plate to a hub. A hollow part(53) is formed between the joining plains and the peripheral grooves and has an inner surface threaded to be joined to a screw of the hub.
