摘要 PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maximize aperture ratio, minimize signal delay due to parasitic capacitance, and prevent damage of thin film transistors. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of amorphous silicon patterns are formed on a substrate in matrix shape in a first direction. The plurality of amorphous silicon patterns are recrystalized into polysilicon patterns(140) to improve an electric characteristic. An inter layer is formed on the polysilicon patterns. A plurality of gate lines(110) are formed on the polysilicon patterns in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. One side of the polysilicon pattern becomes a source area and the other side of the polysilicon pattern becomes a drain area. A plurality of data lines(120) cross the gate lines, and are combined to the source area, and are bypassed to upper parts of the polysilicon patterns to form air gaps with the gate lines. A transparent pixel electrode(135) having the maximum area is formed at the drain area.
