PURPOSE: A method for automatically converting channels of a general telephone and an Internet phone is provided to sense the abnormal state of speech quality according to the state of a network when performing an Internet phone call and automatically converting the channel to the general telephone by the matching of an IP(Internet Protocol) and a general telephone number. CONSTITUTION: A user executes an Internet phone association program(S110), inputs a telephone number or an IP in the executed Internet phone association program, and attempts call connection(S120). If an object responds to a call, an Internet phone call is performed(S140). Call sensibility is checked(S150). It is judged whether a call sensibility error rate is larger than a setup value(S160). If the call sensibility error rate is larger than the setup value, a general telephone number linked to the IP is retrieved(S170). The generation of an error is warned to a user and it is judged whether the user requests the connection of a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network)(S180). If the user requests the connection of the PSTN(S190), the connection of the Internet phone is disconnected and a call connection is requested to the general telephone(S200). If the call connection is achieved(S210), a telephone call is performed through the PSTN(S220).
