PURPOSE: An active control lubricating system used in a vehicle engine is provided to actively control driving characteristics of an oil pump depending on rotating speed and discharge pressure of an engine and to optimize flow rate of engine oil without using a relief valve. CONSTITUTION: An active control type engine lubricating system includes an oil pump(5) and a control section for driving the oil pump(5) depending on an engine R.P.M. The oil pump(5) is operated together with the engine and sucks oil stored in an oil pan(1) through an oil screen(2), a strainer(3), and a flow rate control valve(4). The oil pump(5) supplies oil to a cylinder block main gallery(7) through an oil cooler assembly(6). The control section has a hot wire anemometer(10) provided between the oil pump(5) and the oil cooler assembly(6), a controller(20) receiving a signal from the hot wire anemometer(10), and a driving device for driving the oil pump(5).
