New polynucleotide encoding feline insulin-like growth factor-1, useful as adjuvant for vaccines, specifically against feline immune deficiency or leukemia viruses

Isolated polynucleotide (I): (a) comprising a 462 bp sequence (1); or (b) encoding 153 or 105 amino acid sequences (2) and (3), fully defined in the specification, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) isolated feline insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1); in vitro and in vivo expression vectors that contain (I); (2) composition for inducing in a feline, especially a cat, an immune response against a feline pathogen comprising: (a) an IGF-1 (preferably feline), or vector expressing it in vivo; (b) at least one immunogen (II) of the pathogen, or vector expressing it in vivo; and (c) an excipient or vehicle; and (3) composition that stimulates immunity comprising a recombinant vector, preferably a plasmid or viral vector, expressing IGF-1 in vivo, and a vehicle or excipient.
