PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device the operability of which can be enhanced by decreasing the number of operation times. SOLUTION: When a user makes an operation of selecting a language of voice, a system controller 60 controls reproduction of voice in a language designated by the user. Further, the system controller 60 determines whether or not the language of voice designated by the user is a mother language of the user on the basis of data stored in a RAM 62. When the designated language is the mother language of the user, the system controller 60 sets a caption to a non-display state. When the designated language is not the mother language of the user, the system controller 60 sets a caption to a display state.
