PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing device which is adaptive to faster operation without spoiling quick-start performance of film heat fixation. SOLUTION: The heat fixing device which brings a film into slide contact with a fixedly supported heating body and also moves and passes a heated material by the heating body in contact with the surface of the film on the opposite side from the heating body together with the film to impart heat energy from the heating body through the film is provide with a pressure part which is larger in pressure per unit area at the part where the heat is imparted to the heated material than at any other part.
