摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which is high in initial printing density and resolution, hardly gives rise to form fogging even under such a severe environment like a high temperature and high humidity or low temperature and low humidity, and hardly gives rise to filming by efficiently transferring the toner image formed on the surface of a photosensitive drum to a transfer material. SOLUTION: This image forming method comprises forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a uniformly electrostatically charged photoreceptor, developing this electrostatic latent image to a toner image by toners and transferring the resultant toner image to the transfer material by a transfer roll, then fixing the image, in which the transfer roll consisting of a metallic core material and a rubber foam layer coating the same and having the cell diameter of the foam layer of 50 to 200 μm and the toners consisting of 3 to 8 pieces% toner particles of 2 to 4 μm in grain size in the grain size distribution of the toners and 5 to 12 pieces% toner particles of 4 to 5 μm in grain size and having a boron or phosphorus content of 0.1 to 100 ppm in total are used.
