PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which an easy access can be made by a mail user. SOLUTION: An electronic mail reception function for receiving a text through connection to a network is provided, a designating means which designates that the received electronic mail is unnecessary during the browsing is provided, the electronic mail is deleted or sorted in an unnecessary folder if the electronic mail is unnecessary, subsequently, similar electronic mails are judged by a transmitter or a title if the electronic mail is designated to be unnecessary, and the similar electronic mails are deleted or sorted in an unnecessary folder if they are received. In addition, a mail software which is connected to the network and has the mail transmission function of transmitting the text, is provided with a means for designating binary data attached to text data, and a means for automatically compressing the designated binary data and storing it in an archive. It is further provided with a means for adding to the electronic mail text how the binary data is compressed and stored in the archive.
