PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bath room safety device allowing proper measures to be taken by earlier detecting the abnormal condition of a bathing person who is almost unconscious and leaning frontward. SOLUTION: A load applied to a plate 2 mounted and supported at the edge of a bath tab 1 so as to be located on the front side of a bathing person in the bath room 1 is detected by load detecting means 3 and whether the bathing person is in an abnormal condition or not is discriminated in accordance with information detected by the load detecting means 3. When the abnormal condition of the bathing person is discriminated, information for the discriminated abnormal condition is given.
