PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater device that has a high surface temperature distribution characteristic and can be appropriately used for snow melting and freeze proofing in the entrance or the balcony of a house. SOLUTION: This heater device is installed in the entrance or balcony of the house, for example, for preventing snow melting and freeze proofing. The heater device has a body 1, a metallic lower surface plate 2 mounted to the lower surface of the body 1, and two resin-made legs 3 mounted to the lower surface plate 2. The body 1 has a housing 11 made of a synthetic resin material having natural wood quality and a plurality (four in the present embodiment) of band-like heaters 12 stored in the housing 11. Heater storing chambers 111 of which each capable of storing one band-like heater 12 are formed in the longitudinal direction in the housing 11, and heater introducing grooves 112 communicating with each heater storing chamber 111 are formed on the lower surface of the housing 11 over the entire length of the heater storing chamber 111.
