The invention relates to an automated method for anti-statically coating the surfaces of plastic moulded parts after the moulding of the plastic moulded part, or after the optionally subsequent processing or surface finishing of said part and prior to the cleaning of said plastic moulded part using an aqueous washing process and/or prior to polarisation by means of chemical and/or physical methods, or to an automated method for anti-statically coating the surface of a moulded part, coated with plastic and/or paint, prior to the cleaning and/or painting of the coated moulded part. According to the method, an anti-static coating is applied by bringing the plastic and/or paint surface into contact with a solution, which contains at least one surfactant and at least 20 wt. % of at least one organic solvent and optionally water. The volatile components evaporate completely or to a great extent and a film containing a surfactant dries onto the moulded parts in order to prevent the accumulation of particles caused by an electrostatic charge either completely or to a great extent before the cleaning and/or polarisation process and in order to produce predominantly or completely clean plastic and/or paint surfaces after the cleaning and/or polarisation process.
