<p>Computerized systems (100) for the modeling of real-word objects (Fig. 9) including model generation functions (501) whereby a model is constructed from two-dimensional representations. The functions include the ability to import (902) two-dimensional representations (304, 306, 308, 310) of a three-dimensional object (242) and arrange the representations on virtual surfaces positioned on a three-dimensional modeling space. The virtual surfaces are positioned to correspond to surfaces on which projections of a three-dimensional model under construction by the user are rendered (303). A user interactively constructs the three-dimensional representations and the system simultaneously displays the two-dimensional projections and the three-dimensional model (240).</p> |
