TURNTABLE SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM

A turntable safety interlock system for coupling a trailer (2) to a turntable comprises a fluid supply (16) coupled via a fluid supply line (6) to a first detection means (18) and a valve means (10), which are also coupled to a second detection means (20) via the fluid supply line. The valve means (10) is coupled via the fluid supply line to a braking system of said trailer (2) and upon detection by said first detection means (18) of the trailer (2) sitting correctly on the turntable and upon detection by the second detection means (20) of a turntable lock being correctly closed, the valve means (10) permits fluid flow to the braking system of the trailer.
