The manufacturing method has a corrugated web (6b) combined with a cover web (6c), with gas blown onto the longitudinal side edges of the corrugated paper web, for detecting areas in which the corrugated web and the cover web are not bonded together, for supplying signals to a control circuit for the manufacturing process. An Independent claim for a corrugated paper web manufacturing plant is also included.
