The conveyor comprises at least one endless chain (11,12) for longitudinal extension of the conveyor belt. Individual bushings (111) of the chain are fitted with a catch (14). The catch is an extending rod (13) which extends from its bushing. The bushing is swivellably held and projects in unstressed position over the conveyor belt.
