摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate autofocusing realizing high visual field by increasing the degree of freedom in selecting a memory at the time of designing a camera by utilizing a microcomputer whose memory capacity is small. SOLUTION: At the first range-finding time, range-finding arithmetic operation is performed by storing what is obtained by integrating and controlling sensor array output in an area L and an area C in the monitor area 11 of a sensor array in a RAM 6, and at the second range-finding time, the range-finding arithmetic operation is performed by storing what is obtained by integrating and controlling the sensor array output in an area R narrower than the area L and the area C in the monitor area 11 of the sensor array in the RAM 6. By repeatedly using the common memory area of the RAM 6 in the range- finding performed twice, the range-finding in a wide range is performed even by the microcomputer whose memory capacity is small. Then, the more accurate range-finding is realized by performing the range-finding twice in the center area C.
