PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the generation of a scratch in a manufactured film in a film manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: The film manufacturing apparatus is constituted so that the thermoplastic polymeric material extruded in a molten state from an extruder is cooled to form a sheet and this sheet is sent to a moisture conditioning device to be subjected to moisture conditioning treatment before subjected to stretching treatment in a stretching machine. A guide roll 11 for guiding the sheet sent to the stretching machine from the moisture conditioning device is provided between the moisture conditioning device and the stretching machine. This guide roll 11 is constituted by winding a fabric 13 having flexibility and water absorbability around the surface of a metal roll 12.
