PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant heating type cooler/heater in which rising rate is enhanced at the time of heating. SOLUTION: If the outer air temperature is low and the refrigeration cycle temperature is low at the time of starting the heating operation, combustion rate of a combustor attached to a refrigerant heater 13 is increased over the maximum rated combustion rate at the time of normal heating operation.
