PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle counter using a high-voltage power source and capable of restraining heat generation by miniaturizing the counter and restraining consumption power. SOLUTION: This resistance type particle counter has a high-voltage power source part, a constant current circuit fed with a high voltage generated by the high-voltage power source part, and a resistance type particle detector having an aperture capable of passing an analyzed sample containing particles and fed with a constant current from the constant current circuit. The particle counter counts the particles based on impedance variation when the particles pass the aperture and is characterized by using a cockcroft type power supply for the high-voltage power source part.
