PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel composition which can be produced from easily available raw materials at a low cost, has weak adhesiveness to the skin, can easily be removed from the skin after a light irradiation depilation treatment, and is adhered to or applied on the skin on the light irradiation depilation treatment. SOLUTION: This gel composition used for coating and protecting the skin to be depilated on the light irradiation depilation treatment is prepared by mixing polyvinyl alcohol with borax and water.
