PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and a device for hole outline extraction capable of extracting hole outline accurately, smoothly and efficiently, a computer readable recording medium storing a hole outline extraction program and a computer readable recording medium storing a hole outline data. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a range designating means for specifying from a CAD data a desired hole to be extracted as well as determining a specified area where the specified hole is included, an area specifying means for determining an extraction area making the specified area identical in position with a non-contacting measurement point data, a grating means for dividing the extraction area into cells at prescribed intervals, and a hole outline extraction means extracting the hole outline from the boundary between the cells in which measurement points of the non-contacting measurement point data contained are above and below a prescribed value. The device extracts the hole outline information contained in the non-contacting measurement point data based on the CAD data.
