PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a flame more stably in detecting the flame of a combustion device using an electronic circuit part or a microcomputer. SOLUTION: A pulse signal output from a pulse signal generating means 2 for generating a discharge pulse when the flame is detected is stored and a high frequency pulse signal having frequency higher than the pulse signal is generated by the stored electric power. The presence or absence of the flame is detected based on the high frequency pulse signal.
