<p>Continuation in part of U.S. application no. 421,444 filed 13 October 1989. Erythropoietin isoforms claimed are produced by expression of exogenous DNA in a non-human eukaryotic host cell. They contain amino acids 1-165 or 1-166 of natural human erythropoietin. The isoforms pref. contain 1-14 sialic acid gps. (esp. 9-14 gps.) per erythropoietin molecule. Use of the isoforms and their mixts. are also claimed comprising subjecting a purified erythropoietin to isoelectric focussing and eluting a single isoform from the gel. Specifically claimed erythropoietin analogues are (Asn69) EPO,(Asn125,Ser127) EPO,(Thr125) EPO and (Pro124,Thr125) EPO.</p> |
