PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron oxide as a raw material for ferrite which gives the ferrite to uniformly develop high initial permeability performances even when mixing of raw materials is conducted by a dry process. SOLUTION: This iron oxide for ferrite comprises 0.15 to 2.5 mass% Mn and 0.060 to 0.2 mass% S in terms of SO4 <2-> , where the mixed level of B is suppressed to 8 mass ppm or less. |
