PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem of increased assembly man-hour due to setting-originated variance of aligning time, in setting an optical isolator- attached receptacle in an assembly aligning device, because of failure in positioning the polarizing/transmitting direction of the incident side polarizer of the optical isolator element. SOLUTION: On the end face of a retainer for holding an optical fiber, an optical isolator element in which at least one polarizer and one Faraday rotor are integrated is arranged, with magnets disposed around the element. In addition, in the magnets or the retainer, a marking section is formed to display the polarizing/transmitting direction of the polarizer of the optical isolator element.
