PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesiveness of a carbon film provided on the surface of components, for the purpose of improving surface hardness, or the like. SOLUTION: This surface treated film formed on the surface of a base material such as various kinds of steel, a hard metal, alumina, sapphire, glass, and silicon nitride, comprises a mixed layer consisting of a base material and one or more substances selected among B, Al, Si, Ge, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, and W, with the thickness of 0.5 nm or more and 10 nm or less, and the carbon film provided on the mixed layer or on a metallic intermediate layer formed on the mixed layer. |
