PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twisted yarn capable of affording a stretchable and thin fabric having excellent durability and chlorine and light resistances, a dry and a soft feelings and good appearance quality without causing crepes or bias fillings. SOLUTION: The twisted yarn comprises polyester conjugated fibers which are a side-by-side type or an eccentric sheath-core type comprising one of constituent components consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate and the other constituent component consisting essentially of polytrimethylene terephthalate. The twisted yarn is characterized in that the twist multiplier K represented by the formula K=0.949×T×D<1/2> [wherein, T denotes the number of twists per m length of the yarn; and D denotes the decitex (dtex) of the yarn] is within the range of >=700 and <=4,500.
