PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core tube support device capable of surely preventing the core tube of web from falling. SOLUTION: This support, device for a core tube 24 comprises a pair of chuck devices 32 and 32 for holding both end parts of the core tube 24. Arm plates 30 and 30 are fitted to the chuck devices 32 and 32. A connection shaft 44 is passed through the arm plates 30 and 30, and the connection shaft 44 is fixed to the arm plates 30 through air chuck members 46. Thus, an interval between the arm plates 30 and 30 is prevented from being expanded to prevent the core tube 24 from falling.
