PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable recording material freed of occurrence of black spots, utilizable in the field of photoengraving by thoroughly dry processing and capable of forming an image having high Dmax and gradation. SOLUTION: In the heat-developable recording material having at least one imaging layer, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and at least one of the substituted alkene derivatives represented by formula (1) are contained. In the formula (1), W is an electron withdrawing group; H is an H atom; groups represented by W and located on the same carbon atom may combine with each other to form a cyclic structure; with respect to W, if both trans and cis configurations are enabled, any of the configurations may be adopted; W does not represent an aromatic heterocyclic group; and a halogen atom and a group bonding through an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom are excluded from the electron withdrawing group represented by W.
