PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-component force detector for detecting multi- component force without allowing component forces to interfere in respective directions. SOLUTION: The multi-component force detector 10 measures the component forces Fx, Fy and Fz in X-, Y- and Z-directions of the load applied to a load applying part 12. Arm parts 14-17 are a Z-direction sensitivity part for detecting the component force Fz in the Z-direction (vertical direction) of the load applied to the load applying part 12. The arm parts 14-17 have Z-direction strain gauges 22-25 for detecting the component force Fz in the Z-direction bonded thereto. The joining height positions of the first and third arm parts 14 and 16 and the joining height positions of the second and fourth arm parts 15 and 17 with respect to the outer periphery of the load applying part 12 are shifted in an up and down direction and the couple of forces around the X-axis and Y-axis in a horizontal direction is hard to generate in the load applying part 12. Therefore, the component forces Fx and Fy in the X- and Y-directions are hard to interfere with the arm parts 14-17 in the multi-component force detector 10 and the component force Fz in the Z-direction is accurately detected by the Z-direction strain gauges 22-25 bonded to the arm parts 14-17.
