PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hand-held circular saw wherein a battery capable of being charged is provided, sufficient space is secured for a motor and a battery and high sawing efficiency can be guaranteed. SOLUTION: In the hand-held circular saw wherein a housing 1a for the motor 3 driving a circular saw blade 2 and a housing 1b for a battery 4 capable of being charged are provided, a grip 5 of a U shape parallel to a plane E of the circular saw blade 2 is projected from the housings 1a and 1b and respective legs 6a and 6b of the grip are connected to respective housings 1a and 1b, a rotary axis R of the motor 3 is extended almost parallel to the plane E of the circular saw blade 2. Thereby, a sufficient space can be secured, a large battery and a motor can be applied and a high sawing efficiency is guaranteed. Favorably the rotary axis R of the motor 3 is arranged by crossing at right angles a saw advance direction V of the housing 1b of the battery 4 is so constituted as to make an angle less than 85 deg. to the rotary axis R. |
