PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small photocatalytic deodorizer which achieves a small size with a significant curtailment of the necessary space of a tubular light source and facilitates maintenance in the replacement of parts or the like by maintaining a longer life and a higher efficiency of filters and sufficient activities of photocatalysts carried on a deodorizing filter. SOLUTION: The photocatalytic deodorizer has an air purifying part detachably arranged thereon. In the air purifying part, a dust collection filter made in pleats, a deodorizing filter made in pleats with photocatalysts carried thereon and a tubular light source 35 that irradiates light for the activation of the photocatalysts are arranged as to be laid sequentially on an air path in which the stream of air is formed toward a clean air discharge port from an air intake or the dust collection filter, the tubular light source 35 and the deodorizing filter 33 are so arranged as to be laid sequentially thereon. The deodorizing filter 33 is provided with a hollow 70 to let the tubular light source 35 be buried in the direction of crossing the peaks and troughs of the pleats and the tubular light source 35 is installed so as to irradiate entirely one side of the deodorizing filter 33 within the hollow 70. |
