PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by carrying out drying treatment in a short time. SOLUTION: This garbage treatment apparatus comprises a blower 19, a heating means 11, a drying treatment part 14 for stirring and drying garbage, a path, a closed air flow path 23 formed around the outer circumference of the drying treatment part 14 and a blower 14. Consequently, garbage can be dried in a short time at a low temperature and at the same time the temperature of the drying treatment part 14 is made even. As a result, the temperature in the bottom of the drying treatment part 14 is elevated and a large quantity of heat is transmitted to the garbage inside to shorten the period of drying treatment of garbage without being accompanied by burning dry of garbage.
