PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device easily mountable in a narrow space hardly allowing installation of a conventional one. SOLUTION: In this lock device 1, a solenoid 11 is built in a first main body 3, while a stopper 21 is built in a second main body 5, so that a relative positional relationship between the solenoid 11 and the stopper 21 can be optionally changed in installation. A part of a power transmission mechanism ranging from the solenoid 11 to the stopper 21 is constructed of a wire 33, so that power can be transmitted from the solenoid 11 to the stopper 21 even when the wire 33 is curved according to the positional relationship between the solenoid 11 and the stopper 21. Therefore, when the second main body 5 is smaller than a conventional lock device by the size of the solenoid 11 at least, the second main body 5 can be installed in the vicinity of a hook, while the first main body 3 may be installed to the position apart from the hook.
