PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collecting apparatus for used food and drink containers, capable of efficiently collecting the containers according to a change in amount of used food and drink containers collected caused by the increase or decrease in number of customers. SOLUTION: In this collecting apparatus, a food and drink container circularly conveying device 5 circularly conveying between the customer side of a restaurant and the kitchen side thereof is disposed to collect the used food and drink container from the customer side to the kitchen side. The collecting apparatus is formed by a plurality of collecting conveying devices 4a, 4b disposed in series along the food and drink container circularly conveying devices 5x, 5y on the kitchen side, and at least some of the collecting conveying devices are capable of selectively conveying the used food and drink containers thrown in from the customer side toward one or both of outer end parts 4a', 4b' of the collecting apparatus.
