A self-locking wire connector, comprising a housing (10), a conductive metal plate (20) stored in the housing, a leaf spring (30) bent generally in V-shape and having one end part pressed against the conductive metal plate, and an operation button (40) inserted into the housing slidably in axial direction, wherein, when the operation button (40) is pressed into the housing (10), the operation part (43) of the operation button (40) pushes down one side of the leaf spring (30), whereas the upper surface of the operation button (40) is pressed against the corner (11) of the housing (10) by the reaction of the leaf spring, and the operation button is locked, whereby the small wire connector simple in structure, high in reliability of contact, and easy in assembly and connecting operation can be provided. <IMAGE>
