PURPOSE: An optical pickup device having a beam splitter for correcting chromatic aberration and a method for correcting an optic axis by using the same are provided to correct the chromatic aberration simultaneously with the optic axis deviation by using the beam splitter. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup device having a beam splitter for correcting chromatic aberration includes a first light source(51) for generating first light, a second light source(53) disposed optically farther from a recording medium than the first light source and generating second light with an optic axis in parallel with the first light, an optical detector(39) for receiving the first and second light and carrying out photoelectric transformation, the first and second light reflected from the recording medium, an objective lens(43) disposed on an optic path between the first and second light source and the recording medium for focusing the first and second light to the recording medium, and a beam splitter(35) provided to an optic path between the objective lens and the optical detector. The beam splitter has a first surface to which the first and second light are incident after reflecting to the recording medium, and a second surface inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the first surface for correcting the chromatic aberration of the first and second light.
