PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless device for an adaptive array wireless base station that can realize a stable reception characteristic by monitoring a mean square error in the array processing. SOLUTION: A user signal processing section USP applies adaptive array processing to received signal vectors X(t) from array antennas #1 to #4. A SWAP detection section SDP compares the mean square error in the array processing in a reference signal (unique word) block and that in a data signal block to detect occurrence of swap.
