PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for a time division multiple access system, especially for a system conforming to ETSI HIPERLAN/2, which warrant that each connection has an average theoretical bit rate, which restrict jitter, and which optimize the use of signal processing. SOLUTION: Data units PDUs at the same connection are grouped into fixed frames #N+2, #N+5, where a first parameter TTTi, which corresponds to a theoretical transmission time for a next data unit to the connection, and a second parameter DTTi, which corresponds to a theoretical transmission time including a delay of the next data unit to the connection, are kept at the latest state.
