<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate web server which solves the problem that the access to the Internet is restricted when a user who utilizes always-on connections to the Internet receives services such as a packet filtering or the like. SOLUTION: In a system which releases its homepage to a web server for the always-on connections to the Internet, a provider is provided with an intermediate agent having an IP address conversion table and an HTTP request conversion table. The intermediate agent relays a request for obtaining a file to the web server, refers to the name of the file which is requested to be obtained to the HTTP request conversion table, change the name of the file which is being requested to be obtained to the name of the file to be replaced, and the request for obtaining the file is relayed to web server in accordance with the IP address conversion table. Thus the intermediate agent web server system is characterized.</p> |
