PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell having improved safety against leakage of the content of a charge carrier layer or scattered pieces of a substrate, etc., caused by the cracked substrate, by suppressing cracks on a light transmissive substrate. SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell comprises an optical pole 1, an opposite pole 3 which is conductive and provided with a prescribed interval from the optical pole 1, and a charge carrier layer 7 sealed in between the optical pole 1 and the opposite pole 3. The optical pole 1 comprises a transmissive substrate 11, a transparent conductive layer 10 laminated on the substrate 11, a semiconductor layer 13 laminated on the transparent conductive layer 10, and a dye 14 carried by the semiconductor layer 13. On the surface of the substrate 11 constituting the optical pole 1 which is on the light incident side, a transparent resin layer 5 is laminated. |
