<p>PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for simultaneously retrieving portions of a data stream from different channels are provided to receive each of a plurality of transport channel streams. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of carrier signals are directly converted into a digital data stream(515). Data carried by at least two carrier signals are simultaneously extracted from the digital data stream(535). At least portions of data extracted from at least two carrier signals are combined to form a complete bitstream(545). The extracted data are associated with it's stream identifier and sequence code information, respectively, for identifying the complete bitstream corresponding to the extracted data and determining the position of the extracted data within the complete bitstream.</p> |
