PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image detector capable of suitably allowing an electrode pad and a connecting wire in a solid state imaging element and an optical fiber plate inclined to a photodetecting surface to be compatible. SOLUTION: The image detector comprises the fiber optical plate 110 having a light emitting end face 112 inclined at a predetermined angle of an acute angle to an optical axis of the optical fiber 113, and the solid stage imaging element 210. The plate 110 is disposed so as to be inclined at a predetermined angleθtoward a first side 212a of four sides 212a to 212d at the optical axis of the fiber 113 as seen from a photodetecting surface 212e. A plurality of pads 211 of the element 210 are provided on two outer peripheries 210b, 210d adjacent to the first outer periphery 210a.
