PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing and searching an image adjustment variable to be used in storage and search of the contrast, luminance and gamma adjustment variables of a digital image. SOLUTION: Output variable values are sequentially partitioned to be a small number of memory addresses, a minimum value or maximum value (i.e., boundary value) within an input variable value range corresponding to each output variable value is sequentially stored in the memory addresses, a maximum value or a minimum value within a corresponding input variable value range of an input variable value for image adjustment is extracted from the half of memory addresses of output variable value maximum values with binary search to be contrasted with the input variable value after inputting the input variable value for image adjustment, and the binary search is overlappedly made to proceed with this method until finding a memory address of an input variable value of ranges coinciding with each other. An output variable value for image adjustment corresponding to the input variable value is thereby acquired so as to be able to be stored in a memory with a small capacity. |
