PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic metering system for city water in which data can be transmitted to each other between a meter terminal and a communication terminal device without performing additional piping and wiring. SOLUTION: The communication terminal device 2 for performing data transmission with the meter terminal is installed away from the water meter terminal 1 in a house 5. A center side computer 8 is connected to the communication terminal device through a communication line 6. A first vibration transmitting/receiving unit 3 for converting a signal outputted from the computer 8 into a prescribed vibration, transmitting the vibration through a water pipe 9, converting the vibration received through city water filled in the water pipe into a signal for the meter terminal to input the signal to the meter terminal is connected to the meter terminal. A second vibration transmitting/receiving unit 4 for transmitting and receiving the vibration through the city water filled in the first vibration transmitting/receiving unit and the water pipe, converting the received vibration into a signal for the communication terminal device to input the signal to the communication terminal device, converting a signal outputted from the communication terminal device into a vibration to transmit the vibration, is connected to the communication terminal device. |
